Title: Accountant/Bookkeeper Compensation: $40k - $60k (depending on qualifications and experience) Job Summary: Bookkeepers oversee a company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. They perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. Responsibilities and Duties: * Managing all Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable * Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance. * Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures. * Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions. * Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries. * Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries. * Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries. * Maintains historical records by filing documents. * Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. * Assisting in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices * Advising management on compliance needs * Maintaining books for Oklahoma and Texas divisions * Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Skills and Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent years' experience (preferred) * CPA is desirable * Previous bookkeeping experience (preferred) * Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas * Basic accounting knowledge * Understanding of industry benchmarks in accounting best practices * Knowledge of industry-standard accounting frameworks * Expertise in QuickBooks and CE * Expertise in Microsoft Excel or any other spreadsheet * Establishing accounts * Developing standards * Data entry * Deep understanding of accounting principles * Confidentiality * Multitasking * Attention to detail Company Description W.
