Quality Assurance Manager

WHEMCO Steel Castings Inc, a leading manufacturer of steel back-up rolls, slag pots and various large castings is searching for a Quality Assurance professional looking to take the next step forward to be our Quality Assurance Manager.  The candidate will be able to grow by gaining experience through training and building relationships with other quality professionals.  This position will work out of our foundry in Midland, PA with occasional travel to our plant in West Homestead, PA.  Our foundry specializes in industrial grade steel castings of up to 150,000 lbs. 

DUTIES INCLUDE

·         Maintain our on-site ISO 9001 Quality Management System with corporate support.

·         Lead weekly/quarterly quality meetings.

·         Complete monthly quality reports.

·         Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.

·         Update non-conformance reports.

·         Review and update internal procedures and specifications as required.

·         Provide ISO training to new employees.

·         Schedule and conduct internal audits.

·         Other duties as assigned.  

SKILLS/QUALIFICATION

·         A 4 year science/engineering degree from an accredited college or university, or the equivalent of 3 years’ experience in a quality      related field.

·         Be knowledgeable in statistical analysis.

·         Proficient with Microsoft applications; Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc., as well as other computer software.  Experience in Syteline helpful. 

·         Excellent written and communication skills.

·         Time management, analytical thinking, team working, problem solving skills.
