  • Responsibilities

    The Assisted Living Attendant play pivotal role in providing compassionate care and assistance to residents

    of our assisted living community, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being while promoting independence.

    Qualifications:

    • Sufficient formal education to effectively perform daily tasks with an understanding of the responsibilities involved.

    • Personality is attuned to meeting the needs of the infirm and aged.

    • Previous experience in caregiving is helpful but not essential.

    • Must be team oriented

    • Full-time facility attendants must be at least 18 years old or a high school graduate.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times. In emergency situations, promptly call ambulance or fire department as needed.

    • Assist residents as required and directed by the manager in activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.

    • Encourage and promote maximum independence among residents.

    • Maintain cleanliness in all living areas, bathrooms, kitchen, and dining areas at all times.

    • Supervise residents' medication administration, ensuring they receive proper medication at the prescribed times.

    • Receive messages and relay them to the manager promptly.

    • Keep the manager updated on any changes in the residents' emotional, physical, or psychological state.

    • Refer questions or complaints from residents to the manager for resolution.

    • Participate in six hours of continuing education annually to stay informed of best practices and advancements in caregiving.

    • Perform additional job duties as assigned by the Manager, which may include cooking and serving meals, following the menu guidelines, ensuring proper food temperature, cleaning residents' rooms, and doing laundry according to schedule

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and move residents as needed.
    • Stamina and physical strength to stand for long periods and perform tasks that may require bending, stooping,
    • and reaching.
    • Ability to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations.
    • Good manual dexterity and coordination for assisting residents with various tasks.
    • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, their families, and other staff members.

    Details:

    • Full time
    • 36 to 40 hours per week
    • 12 hour shifts 7am to 7pm
    • Semi-Monthly Pay
