The State of Wisconsin DWD is looking for an Application Architect II contractor

Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:

1\. 10+ years of Web and client-server application development experience, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, implementation, and support

2\. 10 years of experience in MVC framework

3\. 10 years of C#.NET experience. First 5 years ASP/.NET is acceptable.

Please note, candidates MUST meet the 10 years' experience requirement or the manager will not consider them for the role.

Nice to Have Skills:

1\. GCP, AWS, or Azure Cloud experience

2\. Docker, SonarQube, PostgreSQL experience

3\. Previous experience providing this service for government a plus, and experience with DWD's environments will be especially valuable.

Onsite or Remote? Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting the role. This position can work 100% remote (within the state of WI).

Project details: This position is needed for the development of critical priority modernization projects effort in the Division of Unemployment Insurance. Project work will include: application architecture design and development, development of user stories, quarterly planning strategies, product roadmaps, and other key strategic deliverables; selection and review of on premise and cloud tools and technology; code reviews and work item reviews to ensure that they meet the department's technical objectives and are compliant with required security requirements; and in-the-weeds development using a variety of languages and tools.
