We are seeking a Tier 1 Support Engineer to provide onsite and in-house service bench support to customers in Arkansas. As a Support Engineer, you are responsible for providing remote and onsite support for end users and mission-critical systems. This is a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, focused on high-quality service, so you'll need to be up for a challenge.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Resolve issues for clients via phone, in person, or electronically
- Travel to customer sites as needed, sometimes overnight
- Provide support for end users, applications, devices, and systems
- Communication with customers as required to keep them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes
- Responsible for entering time and expenses in ConnectWise Manage
- Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software
- Devices - Laptops, Desktops, Chromebooks, Tablets, Charging Carts
- Operating Systems - Windows, Chrome
- Applications - Office, Antivirus, RMM, Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.
- Provide technical assistance with audio/video systems such as projectors, displays, interactive displays, document cameras, web cameras, speakers, cabling, etc
- Installation and replacement of network devices such as routers, firewalls, switches, UPS, and wireless devices
- Inventory of all customer devices
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Technical
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Office as well as other line of business applications
- Experience with remote monitoring & management tools
- Experience with Windows deployment
- Experience with physical device diagnosis and repair
- MSP experience, multiple customer experience preferred
- Experience with classroom & conference room A/V systems
- Administration/deployment of Windows 7+ desktop operating systems
- Basic administration of Windows Server 2008, 2012, & 2016 with Active Directory
- Basic administration of Office 365
- Basic administration of G-Suite
- Personal
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel, even on short notice
- Operates as a team player
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Excellent documentation skills
- Very good analytical skills and issue prioritization
- Good time management with an ability to work on a number of projects and tasks concurrently, setting own agendas and effectively prioritizing work
