    Job Summary: The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for a variety of technical functions including monitoring the safety and security of residents/guests within the inpatient homes, observing social recovery events such as AA/NA meetings, maintaining proper documentation, and facilitating adult life classes. Prior experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorder (SUD) or lived experience is necessary.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements ● High School Diploma or GED (preferred) ● One year of experience in a related field or security task (accepted in-leu of diploma) ● Lived experience with mental health and/or SUD or experience working with individuals with mental health and/or SUD ● Valid driver’s license and transportation

    Preferred Skills ● Proficient understanding of basic office applications and computer skills ● Detail oriented ● Effective verbal and written communication skills ● Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information

    Certifications All certifications will be required to be completed prior to start date with revalidation per company’s policy ● HIPAA ● Adult CPR -First Aid ● Blood Borne Pathogens ● CPI validation required within 30 days of employment with revalidation per company’s policy.

    Role and Responsibilities ● Responsible for monitoring the safety and security of residents within the designated home ● Perimeter checks and hourly counts ● Monitoring residents and guests on property ● Food preparation and meal prepping ● Maintaining documentation of shift log notes, bed checks, and report data as required ● Monitor social recovery events such as AA/NA meetings ● Conducting facility and room searches as needed in accordance with guidelines ● Facilitating one adult life class a week and providing appropriate documentation ● Reporting situations of concern to the on-call supervisor and/or emergency personnel when needed ● Other duties as directed
