WaferTech is currently seeking motivated Production Specialists to join our team in Camas, WA.

The ideal candidate for this role is a strong team member who is mature, respectful and professional. Due to the complex nature of the semiconductor manufacturing processes, it is important you have the ability to adhere to procedures and follow instructions. Every Production Specialist must routinely interact with other team members.  Your ability to successfully manage multiple unique relationships in a diverse work environment is essential. Additional attributes of a successful Production Specialist include: detail oriented, diligent, tenacious, flexible, thorough and resilient.

Your primary function as a Production Specialist is to operate production equipment, what we call “tools”, in the process of manufacturing integrated circuits.  You will learn to monitor computer systems and physically move wafers (in containers called pods) throughout the production area to ensure constant wafer flow. Most of our new employees don’t know how to manufacture integrated circuits, so we have developed an extensive training program to help you learn. This position is physically demanding and may require you to walk up to 12 miles per 12 hour shift, lift up to 15 pounds, perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time.

Production Specialists work in a clean room environment wearing clean room garments and protective eye-wear. There are many protocols for working in the clean room but one of the main differences from other jobs is that cosmetics, perfume and cologne among other items are not allowed in the clean room environment.
