In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our puppies find loving and suitable homes while providing an exceptional customer experience. Your duties will encompass a variety of tasks, including but not limited to customer interactions, cash handling; and maintaining a clean healthy environment for our puppies, customers, and staff. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Puppy Placement • Match puppies with suitable and loving adoptive families. • Facilitate the adoption process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately. • Offer payment options to customers and process transactions promptly. Animal Husbandry: • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of puppy kennels. • Perform daily shift operations related to animal care and hygiene. • Conduct mini grooming sessions and training sessions with the puppies. • Upon specific training and approval, administer medication when necessary and follow isolation procedures as required. Customer Experience: • Create an unforgettable customer experience by providing knowledgeable and friendly assistance. • Educate customers on various dog breeds, pet store facts, and responsible pet ownership. Sales and Transactions: • Handle cash transactions and use a cash register with accuracy and efficiency. • Maintain an organized inventory of pet supplies and store-use items. • Monitor stock levels and communicate inventory needs to management. • Communication. • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests with efficiency. Physical Demands: • To perform this job, employees may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. • Regular requirements include standing, walking, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing. • Occasional activities involve climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and/or smelling. • Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities. Qualifications: • Retail sales experience, pet industry experience, willing to train the right candidates. Compensation: $15 - $20 hourly
