    Direct-Hire Opportunity:
    Our client, a dynamic trucking and delivery company dedicated to providing customers with exceptional logistics and distribution services 24 hours a day, Monday to Friday, is searching for a highly motivated and experienced cross-dock Warehouse Assistant Manager. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of their new 47,000-square-foot warehouse facility on Kramer Ln. & Metric Blvd. This is a unique opportunity to participate in the establishment of an emerging company and play a key role in its expansion and success.

    Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5 am to 3:00 pm including a 1-hour meal break.

    Job Description:
    The Warehouse Assistant Manager will assist the Warehouse Operations Manager in overseeing all warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, dispatch, and delivery. The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in warehouse management, exceptional leadership abilities, and a dedication to operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
    • Manage and actively participate in the shipping, receiving, staging, and distribution of merchandise.
    • Route and dispatch six to seven delivery routes based on the volume and size of the product.
    • Accurately input shipping information into the logistics software system.
    • Logging and maintaining records of any merchandise shortages or damages for documentation and management purposes.
    • Act as a liaison between customers and drivers to arrange delivery appointments and communicate estimated times of arrival (ETA).
    • Operating company-provided box trucks (16’ to 26’) to guarantee punctual delivery in the instance of driver-related incidents.
    • Guarantee that all products are carefully wrapped and protected before being sent out for delivery.
    • Operating a forklift or pallet jack to load and unload trucks.
    • Maintaining inventory management systems to ensure accuracy and accountability.
    • Develop and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Lead and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
    • Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
    • Promptly coordinate with team members to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report.
    • High School diploma or GED certificate; A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
    • Experience in operating forklifts and handling materials is a prerequisite for this position. Upon being hired, we can offer forklift certification.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
    • Maintain a positive and proactive attitude, always ready to take on challenges and accomplish tasks.
    • Demonstrating a willingness to acquire proficiency in new logistics software and procedures is essential.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and other relevant technologies, such as Microsoft 365 suite, primarily Excel and Outlook.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards related to warehouse operations.

    Other Preferred, but not required qualifications:

    • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
    • Experience with lean warehousing principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in utilizing logistics software solutions and systems.
