Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance & Laboratory Associate to join our team. This role involves managing shipping and receiving tasks, maintaining a clean and organized laboratory, ensuring supplies are adequately stocked, and traveling between multiple job sites as needed (within Twin Cities). The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and committed to maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading trucks, packing shipments of cargo and small parcels, coordinating pickups/deliveries, and preparing all required documentation such as shipping labels, invoices, and packing slips.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment by sweeping, organizing materials, and regularly emptying trash; may be required to assist with glassware cleaning as needed.
Ensure laboratory and office supplies are adequately stocked, including monitoring supply levels and coordinating replenishments.
Travel between multiple job sites as required to support operations, ensuring smooth coordination of tasks and supplies.
Ensure products are stored properly for easy access and safe handling.
Operate equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in compliance with safety regulations.
Perform general facilities maintenance and repair tasks.
Collaborate with team members to resolve problems and enhance workflow efficiency.
Follow company policies and always adhere to safety standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving is preferred.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to travel between job sites.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Basic computer skills for communication, ordering of supplies, and completing documentation.
Familiarity with warehouse equipment operation (e.g., forklifts and pallet jacks) is a plus.
A proactive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
