We are seeking a hard-working Warehouse Associate to join our team of professionals at ProSource Wholesale of Tempe! This position focuses on general storage and material handling duties related to the warehouse. Job Responsibilities
You will be working under the supervision of the Chief Operations Officer and Operations Manager performing a variety of warehouse-related tasks. This will include the loading and unloading of vehicles, handling materials within the warehouse and to/from the loading area, verifying shipped materials, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness while working outdoors. Periodic transfers of material between warehouses may be necessary which requires driving the company vehicle and a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
Other responsibilities for the position will include:
Check deliveries to make sure they are in good shape and match the manifest
Record deliveries and maintain inventory using a computer system
Pull merchandise from warehouse or showroom floor and prepare for delivery
Update inventory records
Operate a forklift to move merchandise
Handle material related to claims and returns, and ensure vendors pick up/deliver as needed
Transfer material between warehouses in the company truck which requires a valid AZ Driver’s License
Work with COO and Ops Manager to ensure all policies and guidelines are being followed
Observe all safety and security procedures
Other duties as assigned by COO & Operations Manager or determined by business needs
Ideal candidates will have experience working in a warehouse environment and possess a working knowledge of warehouse procedures. Additionally, the candidate should be highly organized, energetic, career-minded, friendly, and a quick learner, focused on assisting the sales staff and customers. In addition, candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent as well as at least 1 year of warehouse and forklift experience. Forklift certification preferred but not required. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
Other preferred requirements for the Warehouse Associate include:
Knowledge of computerized inventory control systems and ability to use computers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to understand and communicate numerical data
Ability to calculate simple figures and amounts
Ability to push, pull and lift materials up to 70 lbs.
Ideal candidate will also possess some basic selling skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
