Job Summary:
This position assists with fulfilling and processing orders, shipping and receiving, inventory management, and facilities maintenance and upkeep. The position ensures the accurate and timely flow of all material handling, while keeping a safe and organized work environment. The role requires the ability to perform indoor and outdoor maintenance around the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Performs general maintenance of FSF facilities, including minor repairs and upkeep of the building and its grounds, assists Purchasing department on the effective flow of materials within the warehouse.
* Works with purchasing department with shipping and receiving, loading and unloading, matching sales orders to purchase orders and packing supplies as needed.
* Prepares new shipments and communicates daily progress with management.
* Reviews customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped; follows up on documentation and completion of order.
* Examines and ships packages via FedEx Ground, UPS and USPS; etc.
* Identifies issues with returned products and provides details to supervisor.
* Verifies shelf counts, adjusts and removes defective and discontinued parts from stock.
* Maintains and fixes warehouse equipment as needed; works on building and grounds upkeep through painting, trash management, yard upkeep, including trimming plants, watering, etc.; uses forklift as needed
* Works with management to ensure security is in place and identifies areas that need improvement.
* Drives occasionally to pick up service vehicles and returns them to the facility.
* Contributes to the safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of all the company's facilities; wears proper safety equipment.
* Picks up materials & brings them back to the shop.
* Helps to identify continuous improvement solutions to promote efficiency.
* Adheres to all company employment policies and safe practices, specifically CAL OSHA and safety measures related to work.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience/Training/Education:
* 1-3 years of experience
* Safety training specific to the role
Job Type:
Full-time, on-site, Monday - Friday
40 hours a week
