    We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate Intern to join our dynamic team. As a Warehouse Associate Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and quality control. This internship offers valuable insights into the logistics and supply chain industry, allowing you to develop essential skills that will be beneficial for your future career. This position works in a team environment at our home office in Newburgh, IN. This is not a remote position.

    This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

    This is a paid internship.

    Duties and Responsibilities ****

    • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through regular stock checks and data entry.
    • Help organize and label inventory items for easy retrieval and tracking.
    • Collaborate with the team to monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies.
    • Prepare and package orders for shipping based on order specifications.
    • Pick and pack products efficiently while ensuring accuracy and quality.
    • Collaborate with team members to meet order deadlines and customer expectations.
    • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips, and inspect for damage.
    • Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting appropriate packaging materials and labeling.
    • Assist in coordinating shipments with shipping carriers and ensuring timely deliveries.
    • Participate in quality control checks to ensure products meet established standards.
    • Report any damaged or defective items and follow proper procedures for resolution.
    • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
    • Work closely with other warehouse associates and supervisors to achieve team goals.
    • Communicate effectively to ensure smooth flow of information and tasks within the team.
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and propose suggestions for improvement.
    • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
    • Assist with cleaning of company vehicles and other tasks as assigned. ** __**

    **Qualifications and Competencies __
    **

    • Currently pursuing a degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
    • Physical capability to lift and move packages of varying sizes and weights up to 75 lbs.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.

    Working Conditions

    Working conditions are predominantly in a climate-controlled warehouse environment. Travel to other buildings on campus to pickup inventory. Some buildings may not have a climate-controlled environment. **

    Physical Requirements**
    The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, or crouch. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
