Warehouse Furniture Receiving Associate - Full Time - Swansea MA

This position is key to ensure Cardi's WOW customer satisfaction by making sure that product is received accurately and carefully.
PAYS: $19.00 Hourly
JOB SUMMARY
Primary purpose is to win each day by delivering extraordinary service and value to each customer, every day. A Warehouse Furniture Receiving Associate is responsible for producing favorable outcomes for all customers, fellow team members, the company and the communities we serve.
Responsible for warehouse functions of receiving, unloading, inspecting, scanning and tagging, and storing of product while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions and adhering to all company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o Physically unloads product from trailer into the warehouse using hands or appropriate machinery.
o Verifies the quantity and description of product received by checking merchandise against the receiving label.
o Inspects incoming shipments, rejects damaged items and appropriately reports / records any damages through appropriate channels.
o Attaches identifying labels to product.
o Safely loads the product to a stock picker and, operating the stock picker, transports the product to storing location (rack) in the warehouse.
o Safely and accurately places the product in an assigned warehouse storing location.
o Scans the product label and rack location label to company’s computer operating system using Radio Frequency inventory control equipment, i.e. bar-coding equipment, handheld device.
o Distributes supplies and other non-warehouse product to appropriate department/personnel.
MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no management / supervisory responsibilities.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a warehouse environment, with some outdoor exposure during workday. It is a very active job and while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this job, the associate:
• Continuously stands, walks, bends, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, bends, climbs, grips, lifts, pulls, pushes and reaches above shoulder level throughout work shift,
• Uses regularly hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.
• Accesses heights, approximately 35 feet off the ground, for top-level placement of product,
• Lifts/moves objects up to 110 pounds, unassisted, and lifts/moves objects up to 150 pounds, assisted.
• Withstands temperatures in a typical warehouse environment,
• Uses specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Uses and operates standard warehouse equipment/machinery such as hand trucks, box cutters, a Radio Frequency (bar coding) hand held inventory control device, a stockpicker and some standard office equipment, such as computers, telephone, printers, and copy machines.
Required Experience
Education/Certification/Licensure
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license required, stock picker certification helpful but not required since will train and certify in house.
Experience
Prior related experience and or training preferred but not required.
