We are looking for a skilled and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading warehouse staff, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. The Warehouse Manager will play a key role in managing inventory, optimizing workflows, and supporting the logistics team to meet company goals and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all processes are completed efficiently, accurately, and safely.
Manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate receipt, storage, and delivery of products.
Ensure proper organization and storage of goods to maximize space, reduce inventory errors, and ensure easy accessibility.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock is maintained at appropriate levels and minimize stockouts or overstocking.
Supervise, lead, and develop a team of warehouse staff, including pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to enhance skills, performance, and safety awareness.
Schedule and assign daily tasks, ensuring productivity targets are met and operational goals are achieved.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve team performance.
Oversee inventory control procedures, including regular stock counts and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
Implement best practices for inventory management to improve the flow of goods and reduce inventory loss.
Work closely with the purchasing team to track stock levels, identify shortages, and plan replenishment.
Utilize inventory management systems to track, monitor, and report on inventory levels and warehouse activities.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the warehouse.
Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and enforce safe operating practices.
Lead initiatives to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Address any safety concerns or incidents promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
Identify opportunities to optimize warehouse operations, reduce costs, and improve workflow efficiency.
Implement Lean or other process improvement methodologies to streamline operations.
Analyze data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas of improvement in productivity, accuracy, and safety.
Work with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve service levels.
Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate shipment of orders.
Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks and containers, ensuring goods are handled correctly and securely.
Coordinate with external carriers and suppliers to arrange transportation and resolve shipping issues as needed.
Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, including inventory logs, shipping documentation, and safety inspections.
Generate and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and any operational issues.
Provide regular updates to senior management regarding warehouse operations and any challenges or improvements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Skills:
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Solid understanding of inventory management, logistics, and warehouse operations.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and proficiency in MS Office or other relevant software.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on KPIs and performance metrics.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in implementing safety programs and compliance with OSHA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in warehouse management or logistics (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, or related certifications).
Forklift operator certification and experience in using warehouse equipment.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or process improvement methodologies.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, or move around the warehouse for extended periods.
