Job Summary: The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all warehousing, shipping and inventory management efforts within the organization. This role involves coordinating with various departments and implementing efficient inventory management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the warehousing, inventory management and shipping areas.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Ensure accurate inventory records through regular audits and reconciliations.
Supervise and train inventory staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Coordinate with procurement and production teams to manage inventory flow and reduce discrepancies.
Monitor and report on inventory performance metrics.
Handle inventory adjustments, transfers, and discrepancies in a timely manner.
Implement and maintain an effective inventory tracking system.
Ensure the security and proper storage of inventory materials.
Manage documentation for material swaps, additional pickups, and returns.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues and improve processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Supply Chain, Warehouse or Inventory Manager.
Strong knowledge of inventory management software and best practices.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the steel building sector.
Familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite.
