    Position Overview

    We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a Warehouse Manager & Purchasing Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, managing purchasing tasks, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring efficient product staging for projects.In addition to core warehouse responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to be trained in smart space systems installation, equipment rack building and troubleshooting.

    Key Responsibilities

    Create and manage purchase orders for inventory replenishment, equipment, and materials.

    Communicate effectively with vendors to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.

    Receive, inspect, and organize incoming product shipments in the warehouse.

    Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock levels are maintained.

    Collaborate with installers, project managers, and other staff to coordinate product staging for projects.

    Ensure that products are staged per project requirements and delivered to job sites promptly.

    Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layout and organization to optimize space utilization.

    Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

    Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

    Warehouse Operations (Primary)

    Receiving & Quality Checks: Efficiently unload, verify, and record inbound shipments, ensuring accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders.

    Inventory Management: Safely store products, maintain accurate inventory records, and assist in regular cycle counts and stock audits.

    Service & Shipping: Pick, pack, label, and service orders for shipment, ensuring items are correct, well-protected, and shipped on schedule.

    Equipment & Safety: Operate material handling equipment (e.g. pallet jacks) safely and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.

    Running Equipment to Jobsites: Transport required tools, parts, and equipment to designated job locations in a timely manner at the request of technicians.

    Documentation & Communication: Keep detailed, up-to-date documentation in warehouse management systems and collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

    Smart Home Training & Integration (Secondary/Future Responsibilities)

    Technical Upskilling: Participate in hands-on training sessions to gain knowledge in smart home product configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.

    Field Support: Assist experienced technicians with setup, testing, and maintenance of smart home devices and integrated systems.

    Customer Interaction: Learn best practices for on-site support and effective communication with clients regarding new installations, upgrades, or routine service checks.

    Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of emerging smart home technologies and contribute ideas to enhance service quality and efficiency.

    Qualifications & Skills

    Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; previous warehouse, logistics, or inventory control experience is a plus.

    Technical Aptitude: Comfortable using computers, barcode scanners, and basic inventory software; experience with smart home devices or consumer electronics is an advantage.

    Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills; able to follow instructions and provide updates on progress or issues.

    Teamwork & Initiative: Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn, both in the warehouse and when developing new technical skills.

    Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to [75 lbs], stand for extended periods, and work in varying warehouse conditions.

    Schedule/Expected Work Hours

    You will be required to be in the office 5 days per week.

    Monday - Friday – 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
