    As a T1 Level Designer at Water Works Engineers, you will be crucial in bringing civil engineering projects to life through your design expertise. Your ability to translate concepts into detailed plans using AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Revit will ensure that our projects meet client-specific and industry standards. Working under the guidance of senior designers and engineers, you will contribute to developing site grading, pipe networks, and pipeline plans, directly impacting the quality and precision of our designs. This role allows you to hone your technical skills and provides a pathway for professional growth and increased responsibilities. Your contributions will be vital in successfully executing our projects and making a tangible difference in the communities we serve.

    Your daily impact:

    • Contribute to conceptualizing and developing civil engineering designs using AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Revit.

    • Assist in developing detailed design plans, including site grading, pipe networks, and plan and profile views.

    • Ensure design concepts are translated into detailed, clear, organized plans and specifications.

    • Follow company and client-specific and industry design standards for all design work.

    • Collaborate with engineers and senior designers to refine design concepts and resolve technical issues.

    • Coordinate the preparation and development of small drawing sets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

    • Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress and modifications.

    • Utilize Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for project documentation and communication.

    • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance design skills and contribute to project success.

    What you bring to the table:

    • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Design, or a similar discipline, or equivalent civil-specific experience.
    • 1-2 years of experience in civil design using AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and experience with MicroStation or Revit preferred.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D, including plan and profile views, site grading, and pipe networks.
    • Understanding architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, site, and environmental design practices is a plus.
    • Ability to develop clear, well-organized design plans from conceptual sketches and criteria.
    • Strong ability to work to supervisor-defined requirements and adhere to design and construction standards.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Willingness to take direction and instruction from leadership.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
    • Open to learning new techniques and approaches, focusing on understanding the design rationale.
