    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Compliance Analyst ensures Company compliance with Local, State and Federal laws in regard to affordable housing certifications, as well as compliance with individual site policies and procedures.

     

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Answers phones and assists tenants with inquiries, providing superior customer service to all callers.
    • Collects housing re-certifications and/or student status affidavits to enter into the tax credit program.
    • Contacts tenants to complete or correct housing certifications.
    • Reviews initial tenant income certifications to ensure completion and compliance.
    • Completes annual owner housing certifications.
    • Completes annual housing re-certifications.
    • Creates, analyzes and updates compliance related spreadsheets and reports, ensuring accuracy of the data.
    • Creates monthly and annual compliance reports and reports to building owners, government agencies, investors, etc.
    • Tracks and follows up on all outstanding compliance issues, ensuring timely resolution.
    • Ensures timely responses to all emails received.
    • Ensures file completion and organization.
    • Scans and files in the document manager, ensuring the file is filed into the correct designated folder.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Degree or GED with some college.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially with MS Word and MS Excel.
    • Knowledgeable of how to use Mail Merge in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Exceptional organization skills.
    • Strong work ethic.
    • Proven ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Versatility in ability to work independently and/or under direct supervision.
    • Team player.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    NONESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bi-Lingual English/Spanish. - recommended
