Weaving Machine Operator - 1st shift

  • Responsibilities
    • Follow established safe work practices to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Repair loom stops as necessary to maintain maximum loom efficiency
    • Inspect ribbon to insure good quality
    • Walk warp alleys to prevent wraps and warps, or issues which may cause loom to stop
    • Flag looms for fixer that require either mechanical or quality adjustments
    • Control quality by insuring proper filling is being used
    • Calls supervisor after flagging loom for same problem 3rd time
    • Maintains good housekeeping as necessary
    • All other duties assigned

    Required Skills


    Required Experience

    • High School Diploma or GE
    • Ability to read and write
    • Good communication skills
    • Work under minimum supervision
    • Must be able to stand and walk for majority of shift
    • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. above head
    • Manual dexterity
    • Must use cognitive reasoning skills to make adjustments on equipment to ensure quality
    • Must be able to develop and execute plans for daily work routine in an efficient and effective manner
    • Work in climate controlled area
