    Position Summary:
    We are Seeking a dedicated Web Administrator with a strong background in web design, content development, and accessibility compliance, supporting the Texas Education Agency's flagship website of over 3,000 pages. Skilled in Drupal CMS, site migration, and cross-functional collaboration, this role bridges the Communications Division and IT Web Services to ensure seamless, accessible, and user-friendly web experiences. Adept at coordinating content updates, optimizing site performance, and guiding contributors on best practices for content governance and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).

    **PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May perform any or all of the following):
    **

    • Design, develop, and maintain web pages using the Drupal CMS.
    • Prepare and update graphics, text, tables, and ensure PDF accessibility.
    • Assist in the migration of TEA's flagship website consisting of over 3,000 pages.
    • Collaborate with content managers to ensure smooth transition of content and functionality.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot issues during the migration process, providing timely resolutions.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the Communications Division and IT Web Services team.
    • Translate technical requirements into functional communication strategies.
    • Coordinate and support web contributors with new content, updates, and enhancements.
    • Optimize website performance for speed, reliability, and scalability.
    • Test website code, content, and design for validity and cross-browser/device compatibility.
    • Monitor website analytics and performance metrics to identify improvements.
    • Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and other web accessibility standards.
    • Collaborate with IT Web Services to address and resolve accessibility issues.
    • Provide accessibility support for presentations, documents, websites, and digital formats.
    • Maintain content governance, navigation structure, and quality control.
    • Guide and train content contributors on CMS usage and web content standards.
    • Implement SEO, web performance, and security best practices across all web properties.

    **
    (Minimum 7 Years of experience is required)**

    • Web administration, web design with significant exposure to managing large-scale websites
    • Proven experience with Drupal content management system (CMS), including content creation, taxonomy, nav
    • Strong portfolio of highly complex web design, demonstrating a solid understanding of user-centered design principles, front-end web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end integration.
    • In-depth understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), tools for testing accessibility
    • Hands-on experience remediating accessibility issues
    • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and website performance optimization techniques
    • Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first strategies.
    • Ability to translate technical language into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different teams
    • Ability to explain technical issues.
    • Familiarity with preparing user documentation, specification requirements, and UX artifacts
    • Ability to keep up with emerging technologies, trends, and standards
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
