Job Summary

I am seeking an Website Designer who will be responsible for designing the overall layout and aesthetic for a website for a retail clothing brand. This website should promote our products and offer purchase abilities. You will work closely with the store owner so they can translate thoughts for you to put into a visually appealing design. They are also responsible for turning that design into a functional site and uploading it to a web server. Other responsibilities include:

Creating a suitable color scheme or incorporating the client’s color scheme into the design

Coding the site’s navigation

Designing buttons and other controls for the site

Creating mock-ups of the site for the client’s approval

Fixing any functionality issues, including the removal of “dead links”

Updating and maintaining the site

Making backup files of the site

Your responsibilities will include working closely with software and marketing professionals to make sure websites are coded correctly and align with the company’s brand identity. Your job is to monitor and perform routine updates to website layouts as needed. They may also be responsible for writing copy for homepages or individual webpages as needed. Responsibilities encompass creating the visual and user experience of a website. This includes designing layouts, selecting fonts, colors, and images, and ensuring the site is user-friendly and visually appealing. They also focus on site navigation and usability, often collaborating with the owner to translate ideas into functional and engaging online experiences. The ideal candidate is an experienced content creator with solid marketing skills and a friendly personality.

Responsibilities

Create content about our products and post on multiple social media platforms

Monitor and respond to online reviews of our products and services

Conceptualizing and creating website layouts: This involves planning the overall structure and flow of a website.

Designing user interface (UI) elements: This includes creating interactive components like buttons, menus, and forms.

Choosing fonts, colors, and visual styles: These elements contribute to the overall aesthetic and branding of the website.

Developing and maintaining visual consistency: Ensuring that all design elements align with the brand identity and overall aesthetic.

Qualifications

Good visual design sense

Previous experience as a Brand Ambassador, Promoter, Marketer or a similar position is preferred

Experience creating engaging online content and a strong social media presence.

Understanding basic web development principles: This includes knowledge of HTML, CSS, and potentially JavaScript.

Staying up-to-date with the latest web design trends and technologies: This allows web designers to create innovative and engaging websites.
