Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Weekend Porter to join our team and support the smooth operation of our facility. The Weekend Porter will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of the premises during weekend shifts. This position requires an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while providing excellent customer service to both staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Cleaning & Maintenance:

  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum hallways, common areas, and stairwells.

  • Dust and wipe down surfaces in lobbies, hallways, elevators, and other shared spaces.

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as necessary.

  • Remove trash and recycling from common areas and ensure bins are emptied.

• Safety & Security:

  • Monitor the building and its surroundings for any safety hazards or security concerns.

  • Ensure all doors and gates are secure at the end of shifts.

  • Report any unusual activity or safety concerns to the relevant authorities or building management.

• Assisting with Deliveries & Setups:

  • Help receive deliveries and ensure they are properly stored or distributed to relevant areas.

  • Set up or arrange furniture for events or meetings as required.

  • Provide assistance with carrying and moving equipment, furniture, or supplies.

• Customer Service:

  • Greet and assist visitors and employees in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Respond to requests for assistance from building tenants or visitors.

• Weekend-Only Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the facility is in pristine condition for weekend guests and employees.

  • Perform any additional duties related to building operations that are specific to the weekend shift.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a cleaning or facilities maintenance role is preferred but not required.

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.

• Availability to work weekends, including early morning and late evening shifts.

Work Environment:

• The role requires standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.

• It involves indoor and outdoor work, with exposure to varying weather conditions.

• A uniform and safety equipment will be provided.

Compensation:

• $13.25 Hourly 8:00am to 4:00pm
