We’re looking for a caring and energetic Weekend Early Childhood Assistant to help us create a fun, structured, and safe environment where children can build social skills, explore creativity, and enjoy their weekends to the fullest!
About the Role:
As a Weekend Early Childhood Teacher, you’ll play an essential role in supervising children, leading activities, and maintaining a safe and engaging space for kids to play, learn, and explore. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who loves working with children, has a positive and energetic attitude, and is looking for a fulfilling weekend job!
What You Bring:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience working with children in a daycare, school, or similar setting preferred.
Certifications:
CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
Skills & Traits:
Passion for working with children and creating a fun, engaging environment.
Strong communication skills to connect with kids, families, and staff.
Ability to actively participate in play, games, and activities with children.
A team player with a positive, patient, and reliable attitude.
Your Responsibilities: Lead & Assist with Fun Activities
Help plan and facilitate age-appropriate games, crafts, and interactive learning experiences to keep children engaged.
Encourage creativity and exploration in a structured but fun environment.
Supervise & Care for Children
Ensure that each child feels safe, supported, and included throughout the day.
Promote social interaction and guide children through positive behavior techniques.
Help with Snack & Mealtime
Assist with meal preparation and ensure children receive nutritious snacks and meals.
Encourage a positive mealtime experience by fostering good manners and conversation.
Promote Positive Behavior & Development
Use gentle guidance techniques to encourage respect, kindness, and cooperation.
Support children in developing social and emotional skills.
Communicate with Families & Staff
Provide parents with updates on their child’s activities, milestones, and behavior.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a smooth and organized weekend program.
Maintain a Clean & Safe Environment
Follow all health and safety procedures to keep the daycare clean, organized, and safe.
Assist in maintaining sanitized play areas, common spaces, and learning materials.
Keep Accurate Records
Document important notes about children’s activities, progress, and any incidents that occur.
