Description:

• Works under the supervision of Fabrication Shop Manager and Fabrication Shop Foreman
• Performs various fabrication shop duties at the direction of Fabrication Shop Foreman
• Attends all safety and training as required
• Acquires qualification in use of material handling equipment
• Prepares material for fabrication including cutting and grinding of pieces as well as selection of appropriate hand and /or power tools
• Responsible for accurate layout and fit-up of component parts for final welded assembly using engineered construction/shop drawings
• Hourly employee, excellent benefits

Qualifications:

• General knowledge of and experience in steel fabrication in a production shop environment
• Knowledge of and /or experience in SMAW (shielded metal arc) and FCAW (flux cored arc) welding
• Possess a professional, safe and cooperative work-place demeanor
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and a Fit-for-duty test
