Description
Summary: Plans, lays out and performs complex welding operations on a wide variety of metals, including stainless steel, and alloys (nickel alloy) in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
Essential Functions:
- Performs GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding
- Works on traditional projects and can perform most fit ups that company requires
- Understands advanced blueprint reading and welding symbol interpretation
- Works independently on a regular basis and judgement can be trusted
- Understands time expectations and most jobs are completed within time estimates
Requirements
Competencies and Attributes Needed:
- Workmanship meets or exceeds ASME and AWS requirements
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Accountability to own projects with little oversight on non ASME projects

- Accountability to the team and attendance
Requirements
- Experience with basic welding principles.
- Performs GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding with at least one certification
- Proficient with other tools; micrometers and calipers, etc.
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires physical capability which includes standing most of the time, some lifting up to 25 to 50 pounds, and pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching as needed.
- Standard shift is ten hours per day, with Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required. Plant facility does not have air conditioning.
$22 - $30 DOE (+$2/hr for 2nd shift)
