Job Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for profitable revenue growth through the sale of gases and welding related equipment and supplies. Positive net new revenue is the result of creating and winning new opportunities and clients, and managing customer relationships. The successful Account Manager wins with an insight-based sales approach and through providing better counsel, advice, and recommendations inside the conversations held with our clients.

What Success Looks Like: Winning New & Growing Existing Clients
· Prospects to generate a pipeline of qualified leads
· Develop and execute territory and account specific sales plans to generate profitable net new revenue
· Actively pursue and acquire new competitive accounts with emphasis on obtaining product supply agreements (SPARK)
· Consultative conversations to interpret customer needs and propose value-based solutions
· Research and analyze market data in assigned area to determine new customers, sales volume potential and pricing, and develop a strategy to meet sales targets
Retain Existing Clients
· Develop and execute a territory coverage plan to communicate effectively with assigned customers for retention
· Establish and maintain clear and consistent lines of communication internally and with clients relative to customer expectations, customer successes, customer failures, and other customer specific information
· Assess, maintain, and strengthen client relationships and expand stakeholders
· Schedule/conduct Business Reviews to uncover client issues, concerns, and vision for the future
· Review territory sales reports and monitor territory sales goals and gross profit margins

Education and Experience: · High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred · Minimum 5 years of related outside sales
· Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record
· Knowledge of industrial, specialty, bulk gases; welding supplies and equipment
· Experience selling through face to face in person conversations and over the phone or other digital means
· Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
· Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
Physical Requirements: · Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
· Out of the office in front of customers and prospects approximately 70% of the time, mostly within the local area up to 60 miles
· Some infrequent travel for training, development, and/or conferences
· Work 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday and a rotating Saturday (once every 6-7 weeks) 8am to 12:30pm
