GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of professional nursing, technical and administrative duties as they relate to the cardiac catheterization lab. Provides care and assessment for the patient prior to and post procedure. Prepares and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
WellSpan York Hospital’s cardiac catheterization lab is comprised of two dedicated cath lab suites, one peripheral vascular suite and one hybrid OR suite. The procedures performed include but are not limited to the following: diagnostic cardiac catheterization, interventional coronary angioplasty and stenting including complex PCI and CTO procedures, IABP insertion, temporary pacemaker insertion, diagnostic and interventional peripheral procedures including carotid, extremity and renal stenting.
We also regularly host physician training for over 200 providers worldwide. Operating hours are Monday through Friday 0500 - 1630. The department provides on call care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Off hours, weekends and holiday cases are covered by an on call team.
80 hrs in a two week period. Start times will vary between 0500 and 0930,
End of shift between 1530 to 2000.
No weekends or Holidays.
10 hr shifts.
Required Skills
RN license in Pennsylvania
BSN preferred
BLS, ACLS required
Required Experience
RN experience preferably in a cath lab or procedural area with pre and post procedure knowledge and experience.
Will consider experienced cardiac and critical care RN's (2 or more years of recent experience as a RN)
