PROJECT ENGINEER - DALLAS , TX

WESTWOOD PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, INC. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in our Dallas, TX office. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare plan documents and supporting design calculations
- Prepare detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Produce high quality work and implement and maintain QA/QC procedures
- Oversee the technical aspects of various projects
- Coordinate with other disciplines and support services
- Identifies applicable codes, standards or other design requirements
- Reviews plans and prepares or reviews technical specifications, contract documents and estimates
- Performs field reviews and other assessments for use in design
- Participates in contract bidding and administration and provides limited observation during construction
- Represent clients and firm in meetings with governmental agencies
- Prepare, maintain, coordinate project schedules of multiple concurrent projects with design team
- Develop and track project milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery
- Make decisions independently in regard to various issues and methods
- Able to accept and give performance feedback
- Supervises the work of less experienced engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project
- Mentor and train designers and engineers

Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas (or capable of obtaining)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a project engineer
FOR PREFERRED CONSIDERATION (NOT REQUIRED):
- Previous experience working with clients in the commercial market
- Previous experience working with clients in the residential market
- Experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, and overall duties involved in managing a design team
- Strong presentation skills paired with the ability to coach and motivate others
