    REPORTS TO: Manager, Business Information Systems

    DEPARTMENT:       Information Technology

    FLSA STATUS: Exempt

     

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

    The Workday Systems Analyst will be a part of the Business Information Systems team, which supports and enhances the Institute’s administrative systems.  This person will be primarily responsible for supporting the Institute’s Workday, Jaggaer, and related applications that support the administrative functions of the Institute.  Functional areas supported include finance and budgeting, human resources, sponsored programs, and procurement.  They must be able to work closely with members of these areas to troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions.

     

    CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES

    ·       Building and maintaining reports, integrations, business process, configurations, and security in these systems

    ·       Troubleshoot user issues that cannot be resolved by the functional teams. 

    ·       Open cases with the support teams of Workday, Jaggaer, and other vendors and oversee to resolution.

    ·       Lead the evaluation and testing of new releases of Workday, Jaggaer, and ECC. 

    ·       Assist with training new users on these systems and cross-train with other members of the support team.

    ·       Work closely with other members of IT to build and maintain interfaces between Workday, Jaggaer, ECC, and several internal and external sub-systems.  These include a data warehouse, Cognos, internally-developed sub-systems, and systems of external partners.

    ·       Other duties, as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    REQUIRED:

    ·       BS in Computer Science, CIS, accounting or similar. Relevant experience will also be considered.

    ·       3+ years of experience supporting an ERP system.

    ·       Willingness to adapt to the Institute’s administrative needs by learning and supporting the systems used by Administrative departments.

    ·       Desire and ability to learn how to support Workday, Jaggaer and ECC. 

    ·       Excellent organization skills.

    ·       Ability to troubleshoot, fix, and follow-through on issues reported by users.

    ·       Effective presentation skills.

    ·       Ability to develop and deliver training to end users.

     

    HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

    ·       Experience with Workday HCM and Finance modules supporting security, configuration, integration, and reporting.

    ·       Detailed knowledge of the Workday data model.

    ·       Experience with Jaggaer supporting security, configuration, integration, and reporting.

    ·       Ability to perform testing of fixes and new functionality, and assist users with testing.

    ·       Generate reports and queries using SQL.

     

    HELPFUL SKILLS (MAY HAVE TO LEARN):

    ·       Perl & Linux scripting experience.

    ·       Experience creating secure interfaces between Workday and other systems.

     

    NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT CRITICAL:

    ·       Linux and Windows operating system knowledge.

    ·       Administrating and/or creating reports for Cognos.

    ·       Basic accounting principles.

    ·       Previous work in not-for-profit or grant-funded organizations.

    ·       Formal Workday training.
