    Job Description

    WIELAND DIVERSIFIED IS A HIGH-QUALITY METAL ALLOY SUPPLIER FOR MILITARY AND INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS. ENGINEERS AND MACHINISTS WHO REQUIRE THE HIGHEST-QUALITY ALLOYS HAVE TURNED TO DIVERSIFIED FOR OVER 40 YEARS.

    OUR INSIDE SALES MANAGER WILL MANAGE INSIDE SALES ACTIVITIES THROUGH ASSIGNING TERRITORIES AND PRODUCT LINES TO INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVES; SUPERVISES INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVES. RESEARCH AND TARGET NEW ACCOUNTS AND PRODUCT LINES. MAINTAIN DIRECT CORRELATION BETWEEN INSIDE SALES AND OUTSIDE SALES STAFF. HANDLE CUSTOMER CONCERNS AND ACCOUNT SUPPORT.

    • Maintains and sets sales targets for the inside and outside sales teams.
    • Develops and provides quotations and process sales order worksheets and job files.
    • Coordinate with Outside Sales to develop new and nurture existing customers.
    • Maintain accounts through telephone and email contact. Personal visits either by the customer to Diversified Metals facility, or by sales representative to the customer’s facilities, are a possibility.
    • Interface with Quality Control personnel with respect to quality related issues as it involves accounts.
    • Review outside sales call reports as they relate to specific accounts. This includes outstanding quotations and general customer service requirements for follow up.
    • Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or products
    • Exercising authority that affects other employees' rate of pay and hours worked. Directs the work of other employees. Appraises other employees' productivity and efficiency for the purpose of making recommendations or other changes in their status. Plans work, determining techniques to be used.
    • Manages the performance and work of inside sales representatives.
    • May make recommendations to the President to hire, fire, or change status of other employees. Regularly exercises discretionary power.
    • Monitors overtime usage in their department to ensure its proper use based on workload.
    • Recommends new alloys, sizes and products based on customer feedback
    • Use of best judgement to address customer concerns or issues.
    • Works directly with Operations to streamline workflow for output work
    • Any additional duties as assigned by the Company President.
    • The employee is expected to follow all safety rules as outlined in the Company Safety Manual.
