    Telephone Interviewers assist with large volume data collection for surveys. Our Interviewers conduct market research on a variety of topics through telephone surveys. This position involves contacting individuals and asking a series of scripted questions over the telephone. We take pride in delivering quality customer service!

    The qualifications for this position are: must have basic computer skills, excellent telephone skills, above average reading ability, ability to communicate verbally effectively, be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Interviewers start at $10 per hour for evening shift. Weekend bonuses may apply!

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

    Through use of a predictive dialer, Interviewers will call individuals across North America to obtain opinions to complete questionnaires on various topics

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Read verbatim scripted instructions and questions to respondents in a way that is clear and easy to understand.

    Solicit respondents to participate in surveys

    Clarify and probe for answers (when appropriate), and answer questions from respondents using scripted responses.

    Listen attentively and respond appropriately to respondents, but maintain a neutral and unbiased position.

    Complete interviews with confidence and at an energetic, efficient and productive pace, while maintaining an acceptable productivity rate.

    Be creative, charismatic and confident, while maintaining a professional demeanor.

    Handle rejection, but do not personalize it.

    Exercise extreme patience, professionalism, self-control, and good judgment when dealing with respondents.

    Follow all policies outlined in the Wilkins Research Handbook.

    Must be able to give full attention to what other people are saying

    Maintain regular and predictable attendance

    Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must be at least 18 years old

    Must be reliable, punctual and dependable

    Must have excellent customer service, written and verbal communication, and reading skills

    Must be able to look at computer screens and wear headsets for extended periods of time

    Must demonstrate the ability to read verbatim and narrow down answers

    High School Diploma or Equivalent

    Minimum six months of customer service experience, preferred in a call center environment

    Basic computer proficiency

    Must be able to pass a drug test

    Past Wilkins Research Services (WRS), was founded in 1971 by the late Madge H. Wilkins. The start up of the company was predominately from door to door survey data collection and sales inventory measurement projects. During the 1980's, substantial growth occurred due to an increased volume of telephone interviews. By the early 1990's the company moving along with the industry in coverting from predominately paper questionnaires to CATI questionnaires. Increasing the size of the call center and an update to their focus group facilities mandated the construction of a new 7000 square foot building in 1998. Following in the familiar footsteps of success, WRS again needed more space to expand their operations in 2006 and now occupies 10,000 square feet. Present The company's 300 full and part-time employees offer quantitative and qualitative data collection services. Full-time employees receive benefits ranging from medical coverage to bonuses for special projects. WRS, which completes over 500,000 interviews nationwide and through Canada annually, operates a 100-station phone bank fully equipped with Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing software and predictive dialers. WRS conducts focus groups, store demonstrations, one-on-one interviews, product-testing, auditorium music tests, taste tests and mall intercepts just to name a few.
