The Occupational Medicine Specialist is responsible for solving problems in a timely manner; gathering and analyzing information skillfully; and developing solutions. Duties include being accountable for creation and execution of invoices, updates related to fee schedules, management of occupational medicine special accounts and client interactions related to outstanding invoices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
•Responds to requests for information in a timely manner.
•Manages difficult customer situations.
•Responds promptly to customer needs and solicits feedback for improvement.
• Responds to requests for service and assistance and meet commitments in a timely manner.
Billing Operations:
•Creates and sends invoices to occupational medicine clients
•Executes fee schedule updates in EHR
•Provides customer service and administration to occupational medicine special accounts
•Executes collection activities for outstanding invoices
Required Skills
•High School Diploma
•Billing and Coding certificate or 1 year of billing experience within a healthcare facility or insurance company
•Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
