Our client in Cortland, Ohio is looking for a dedicated Winder/Operator to join their growing team!
Primary Job Function:
Tools & Equipment Used:
- Winding machines, tension devices, coil molds, cranes, brazing torches, heliarc machines, crimping machines, shears, power shears, drill motors, grinders, hammers, micrometers, steel tape, volt-ohm meters
Working Procedures and Skills:
- Read and interpret drawings and transformer specifications.
- Set up winding machines with proper molds and winding speed.
- Set up conductor supply and insulating material as required for job.
- Wind all types and sizes of coils per specifications.
- Attach taps and leads as required by specifications by crimping, brazing, welding, soldering or other means.
- Insulate coils, leads and taps as specified or as required.
- Make up leads, bus bar, taps, and terminals as required.
- Identify and cut insulation.
- Identify conductor material required for coils.
- Repair defective coils and coils on transformers sent in by customers for repair.
- Heliarc.
- Assist other employees as directed by supervisor.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Perform work in a safe manner, using all safety systems and devices available and following all safety rules.

- Shift: 2:15pm-10:35pm, M-F
- Pay Rate: $18.63/hour
