Job Summary
We are seeking an outgoing Lead Host/Hostess to join the team at our thriving winery. You will work 25-30 hours per week. Weekends are required. In this role, you will welcome guests, lead them to their seats, inform them of any specials and manage our reservations platform. Your goal is to quickly build rapport with patrons and make them feel welcome. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and committed to providing an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities:
Hosting, Retail, Wine Club
Sell new memberships into our wine club
Welcome guests with a smile, empathy and patience
Manage our reservation system
Seat guests at their tables, explain our service model and daily specials
Be knowledgeable of all offerings at the winery
Provide guests with menus and inform them of any available specials
Accept payment for retail purchases and operate a POS system and cash register
Process purchases from our retail space
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age, as you will be selling wine.
Full availability Friday through Sunday
Daytime availability Mon-Thurs is helpful
At least three years experience as a host/hostess in an upscale, high volume restaurant is preferred
Friendly and outgoing personality
Excellent communication skills
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking and standing for long periods
Obtain and Indiana liquor server's permit
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
