Purchasing Facilitator Purchasing Facilitator- Pekin, IL Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Purchasing Facilitator will be responsible for purchase orders for the Winpak Heat Seal Corporation, Pekin, IL, plant. Two to three years buyer experience in factory setting preferred. Equivalent to junior/community college (2 yr. Associate Degree) is preferred. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Good computer skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, strong analytical skills. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Warehouse â?? High noise level, personal protective equipment required. Office â?? Professional setting with low noise level. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Light load lifting may be necessary (up to 15 lbs) Bending, stooping, kneeling and reaching. Frequent typing and use of mouse and telephone. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: â?¢ Enter inks, chemicals, and solvents to be cycle counted for fiscal month end and EPA and cordinate with internal departments to perform cycle counts â?¢ Review Aged Inventory Report and recommend action â?¢ Place orders for raw materials and overhead items â?¢ Enter purchase requisitions into Movex and ensure that requisitions have proper approvals â?¢ Assign purchase order numbers â?¢ Research new products as needed â?¢ Work with Montreal to coordinate bulk purchase prices â?¢ Research/market test for pricing on items bought locally â?¢ Communicate with packaging suppliers to deliver products as needed â?¢ Analyze incoming bids and present recommendations to Supply Chain Manager â?¢ Order business cards and office furniture as requested â?¢ Other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager â?¢ Observe and enforce all safety rules and regulations â?¢ Understand and follow all emergency procedures â?¢ Adhere to and enforce all GMP and Food Safety protocols â?¢ Backup for Movex Coordinator for Reports Winpak offers competitive salary and benefit packages as well as excellent opportunities for professional growth and development based upon the global location of the available position.
