    Job Summary

    Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    ($18/hr - $22/hr)

    Primary duties of this position consist of installing components and wiring of low and medium voltage switchgear according to electrical drawings, diagrams and specifications.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring and equipment.
    • Interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams and technical documents to plan wiring layouts.
    • Measure, cut, and install wires using hand tools and measuring instruments.
    • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components, ensuring proper electrical connections.
    • Conduct tests on wiring to ensure proper functionality and troubleshooting any issues that arise during installation.
    • Inspect, clean and repair as needed electrical systems, equipment, and components to prepare for installation.
    • Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards.
    • All other duties assigned.

    METRICS

    Wire Technicians are expected to maintain assigned schedules for project completions set forth by operations manager, department supervisor and customers.
    Ensure work area remains tidy.
    Quality of work, accuracy and appearance to CBS standard is required.
    Maintains records of all work performed including images of initial product or requirement received and throughout the project.

    **EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE **

    High school or equivalent GED certification.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Deadline and detail oriented is a must.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Be a critical thinker.
    • Ability to multi-task and work at fast pace.
    • Experience with hand/power tools.
    • Ability to read electrical schematics and layout drawings.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment as part of a team or individually.
    • Able to work and collaborate with other shop technicians and fabricators to achieve objectives or create improvements to processes and procedures.
    • Able to maintain confidential information

    **PHYSICAL DEMANDS **

    • Occasional sitting, reaching/working overhead, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
    • Frequent walking
    • Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion
    • Lifting requirements include frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 25 pounds

    WORK SCHEDULE

    Hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. You are required to be at your workstation from the start of your shift to the completion of your shift Monday thru Friday.

    · Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of all deliverables.

    · Responsible for complete and thorough project planning from inception through GMP through coordination and collaboration with the client, designers, consultants, and all internal contributors from preconstruction, project services, operations, etc.

    · Drive decision-making thru accurate tracking and coordination of all required tasks and deliverables

    · Analysis of all levels of construction documents regarding constructability and document completeness, and associated communication throughout the entire project team

    · Participation in the development of the construction schedule, phasing, staffing requirements, logistics plans, construction means and methods, risk assessments and cost estimates.

    · Coordination and participation in the value management process on projects.

    · Support Business Development and Project Executives in project pursuits including strategies, proposal development, execution plans and interviews.

    · Participate in building client and consultant relationships and be instrumental in securing opportunities.

    · Conduct and record preconstruction meetings with client, design and internal project teams.

    · Assist the purchasing and estimating departments with evaluating, analyzing and leveling subcontractor proposals and in preparation of award recommendations and contracts.

    · Develop bid packages with a focus on design-assist procurement related to the technical trades/equipment.

    · Working knowledge of building construction, materials and systems of all construction divisions.

    · Working knowledge of process engineering and related systems.

    · Design and/or direct procurement including air handling systems, plumbing, gases, electrical equipment, building controls, process piping and process skids.

    · Knowledge of current market conditions, technologies and trade practices.
