This position based out of our Brookfield, WI facility will be responsible for supporting the Safety Director.     A Corporate Safety Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the safety director by maintaining and coordinating safety programs, organizing documents and safety records, and support safety initiatives.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support our commercial driver safety program with the following:
      • Perform commercial driver onboarding paperwork
      • Perform annual commercial driver attestation of clean driving
      • Monitor the medical physicals required of our CDL drivers
      • Distribute updated DOT regulation books to commercial drivers
      • Monitor annual truck inspection reports for renewal and coordinate completion with department managers
      • Submit monthly IFTA reports to third party agency
      • Audit DOT driver daily inspection reports and driver logs
      • Administer random drug testing program
    • Administer monthly safety education program to our workforce
    • Monitor employee forklift operator licenses and follow up with managers to ensure timely renewals
    • Coordinate the safety training of new hires to include class enrollment, training materials, and record keeping.
    • Monitor ISN and other 3rd party safety qualification subscriptions and document submissions
    • Receive liability accident reports and file insurance claims accordingly
    • Administer I-pass program and pay invoices
    • Update chemical Safety Data Sheets
    • Update local government agencies with branch emergency plans, as needed.
    • Answer phones, computer work, filing, and other administrative work as appropriate to accomplish department goals.
    • Projects as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Safety conscious mindset to support company safety awareness
    • Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Strong familiarity navigating various web portals
    • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Strong customer orientation and a team player
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
