We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Wood Department Manager to lead our woodworking operations, ensuring our products meet top standards for quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship.

    Job Overview: The Wood Department Manager will oversee all aspects of wood processing, assembly, and finishing within our facility. This role requires a hands-on leader with expertise in wood materials, machinery, and production processes. The Wood Department Manager will focus on quality control, workflow optimization, and team development to drive successful project outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and manage the daily operations of the wood department, including team scheduling and workflow management.

    Oversee the setup, maintenance, and safe operation of woodworking machinery, including CNC routers, edge banders, and other specialized equipment.

    Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high production standards.

    Collaborate closely with design and production teams to ensure specifications and timelines are met.

    Train and mentor department staff, promoting a culture of safety, skill development, and quality.

    Monitor and manage wood inventory, coordinating with procurement for material needs.

    Qualifications:

    Extensive experience in woodworking, wood manufacturing, or a related field, including supervisory or managerial experience.

    Strong knowledge of wood materials, production processes, and woodworking machinery.

    Proven experience working with HOMAG CNC routers, edge banders, and other woodworking machinery.

    Proficiency in cabinet construction and the ability to guide team members in producing high-quality cabinetry and wood displays.

    Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to optimize workflows and maintain high quality.

    Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

    Physical ability to handle materials and work in a production environment as needed.
