We are seeking an experienced and skilled Framing Foreman to lead our framing team in the commercial construction department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in framing and carpentry, with a proven track record of successfully managing framing projects. The Framing Foreman will be responsible for overseeing the framing crew, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Supervision:
- Manage and lead the framing team to ensure timely and high-quality completion of framing projects.
- Coordinate with project managers to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Resource Allocation:
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to framing crew members based on individual skills and project requirements.
- Manage and optimize the use of equipment, tools, and materials.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that framing work meets industry standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address quality issues promptly.
- Safety Compliance:
- Enforce and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Training and Development:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to framing crew members.
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance team skills.
- Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with project managers, other foremen, and team members.
- Report progress, challenges, and resource needs to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a framing foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of framing techniques, tools, and materials.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices.
Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus).
- Relevant certifications in framing or carpentry.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in framing and carpentry.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
