CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT
Certified Nursing Assistant Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate care and assistance to our residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for various duties, such as performing basic nursing tasks, assisting in personal hygiene and grooming, administering medications as ordered by the physician, and measuring vital signs. The CNA will also be required to maintain all medical records in accordance with facility procedures and state laws.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist patient(s) with daily activities, such as feeding, dressing, bathing, etc.
- Administer medication and monitor patient reactions per physician's order
- Measure vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate
- Provide emotional support to patient(s) and their families
- Observe and report any changes in patients’ physical or mental conditions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the patient's environment
- Follow care plan meeting patient's physiological and psychosocial conditions
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing insights on residents’ conditions
Qualifications:
- Active CNA license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1-year experience in long-term care or acute care setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle a demanding work environment, with changing priorities
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or move residents up to 50 pounds
