Responsibilities: • Effectively and efficiently handle a caseload of over 100+ workers’ compensation cases • Negotiate and resolve workers’ compensation cases promptly for top-dollar • Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action • Be able to appropriately communicate with clients • Work with the Case Manager to confirm coverage via e-case or WCC Verify Coverage • Draft, review, and submit WC Forms to the Commission and other parties • Represent Claimants in their hearings as scheduled by the SCWCC • Thoroughly investigate each case, including but not limited to identifying and obtaining statements from witnesses, and obtaining surveillance video • Work with the Case Manager, client, and Nurse Case Manager to ensure the client attends all scheduled doctor’s appointments • Work with the Case Manager to coordinate necessary and reasonable IMEs, as needed Qualifications: • Ideal candidate has between 3 and 10 years of Workers' Compensation experience (Plaintiff or Defense) • Must have tried multiple cases in front of the WCC • Able to work independently while handling 100 - 125 cases • Must be currently licensed to practice law in South Carolina • Must excel in client communication and demonstrate strong leadership by effectively guiding staff and providing clear directives based on the needs of the individual case Though we have posted a salary range, we are always willing to discuss additional compensation for candidates with commensurate experience. Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000+ annually
