ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Worship Arts Lead (WAL) will help fulfill FH’s vision by leading the Worship teams, processes, and projects. This includes developing and leading the staff and teams responsible for weekend services and special events. He/she is also responsible for keeping FH’s worship elements innovative, intentional, engaging, and transformational.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A mature relationship with Jesus Christ that is clear and evident
A heart and love for people
A belief that creative worship can lead people to intimate encounters with God
Ability to provide leadership, vision, and passion for FH’s worship ministries that are in alignment with the overall vision, values, and mission of the church
Experience leading worship in a church
Ability to lead through change during a re-building season in the life of FH
Gifted and experienced in musicianship; musical training is a plus
Ability to create, develop, and lead worship arts teams
Ability to handle multiple projects effectively
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:
A strong mastery of Macbook products or an ability to learn
A strong mastery of Google Workspace
A mastery or ability to learn PCO, ProPresenter and all its components
A mastery or ability to learn how to design and edit projects in Canva or other editing software
A working knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube
An ability to oversee video creation from ideation to completion
An ability to work with financial systems that the church implements
Proficiency in voice and piano or guitar
Working knowledge of Audio, Video, and Lighting
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to technical responsibilities, the Worship Arts Lead is responsible for setting the spiritual tone for the Worship Arts Department. The volunteers for this ministry must understand their importance in helping to shape an atmosphere that engages people in worship. All team members will be required to take an attitude of ownership and responsibility that must be first demonstrated by the WAL - positive and humble.
Build, lead, develop, and shepherd Worship Arts Ministry Staff as they lead the teams who execute day to day creative projects.
Lead innovative, engaging Creative meetings and translate ideas generated into completed elements and moments.
Lead and develop the people and process for Creative Video and Graphic Design elements.
Lead and develop the people and process for the production of weekend services and special events.
Lead and develop the people and process for FH Communications, to include print, social media, website, etc.
Contribute to the internship process for FH as needed and provide oversight to interns placed in the Creative Ministry.
Recruit, develop, and care for FH’s volunteer worship teams.
Lead preparation, planning, musical and creative brainstorming, directing, and overseeing all aspects of the Sunday Worship Service(s).
For each worship environment, create an interdependence of teams: Worship and Technical Production.
Develop and oversee budget for worship services and special events.
Master plan all Worship Arts purchases.
Lead stage design changes and improvements.
Identify, invite, mentor, and empower leaders to be a part of the Worship Arts Ministry.
