The Manufacturing Manager directs and controls the work activities of subordinate personnel of Assembly and Test departments. Supervises Assembly and Test Technicians who are responsible for manufacturing assemblies and sub-assemblies in accordance with operation sheets, test procedures, and standard operating procedures. Monitors work activities and ensure timely work order execution. Coordinates and assigns work to manufacturing associates to achieve daily production and quality goals. Must be able to assemble product or perform specific manufacturing processes during high resource demands.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Supervise manufacturing and assembly operations to meet production schedules within established Company policies and standards.
• Schedule and train production personnel to meet production schedules.
• Checks assembly throughout the day to maintain efficient workflow.
• Ensures Company safety policies and procedures are being followed.
• Contributes to the creation and maintenance of the daily production reports.
• Interface with Technical Support, Quality, and Engineering departments.
• Communicate and inform employees on Company policies, rules, changes, and keeping an open line of communication between employees and upper management.
• Solves processes and workmanship issues on products assembled or tested.
• Ensures product build is IAW Manufacturing Schedules and Contract Delivery Dates.
• Ensures Quality Standards are met by subordinates and budgets are met.
• Ensure all cost targets, Time Standards and budgets are met.
• Maintain 6S Standards, FOD and ESD protection, Calibration and equipment maintenance.
• Performs other duties as directed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred; majors include: Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Quality Engineer, Industrial Technology or Business Management.

EXPERIENCE:   12-15 years of related experience combined with 4 years supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of PCs and various software like Microsoft Office. Ability to interact with varying levels of management, subordinates, co-workers and customers as needed.
