Job Summary We are seeking a qualified Radiology Technician to join our healthcare team. The Radiology Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using x-ray equipment to assist the physician in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The ideal candidate will prioritize patient safety and comfort while producing high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with established protocols and regulations. This is a highly paid part-time position.
Responsibilities
Set up equipment for testing, adjust immobilization devices, move equipment, and adjust exposure to get the proper results
Thoroughly document all patient services within a patient’s chart
Maintain all equipment, troubleshoot problems as needed, and call in for repairs when necessary
Follow all required safety regulations, including wearing appropriate safety gear, to maintain a safe work environment
Key Responsibilities:
Operate x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images of specific areas of the patient’s body;
Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort;
Ensure proper functioning of radiology equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs;
Follow all radiation safety procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards;
Maintain accurate and complete patient records, documenting all imaging procedures performed;
Assist physician in evaluating radiographs and provide preliminary information as required;
Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care and smooth clinic operations;
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the imaging area and handle imaging equipment with care;
Stay current with continuing education and certification requirements.
Qualifications:
Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
Valid Florida Radiologic Technologist License
Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a clinical team
Previous experience in a medical or outpatient setting preferred
