Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Xray Tech to join our team at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center- The Woodlands. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless surgical and patient care operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality care, has a strong attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
- Properly position patients to obtain high-quality images while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- Utilize C-arm fluoroscopy equipment in the operating room, ensuring accurate imaging during surgical procedures.
- Adhere to radiation protection guidelines, including shielding and monitoring exposure levels.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of imaging studies.
- Assist with equipment quality control and routine maintenance.
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of radiographic imaging techniques and radiation safety practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing imaging needs during surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting radiologic equipment, including C-arm fluoroscopy.
Experience Required
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or X-Ray Technician program required.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred.
- State licensure as an X-Ray Technician (if applicable) required.
- BLS certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in a hospital, surgical center, or outpatient setting preferred.
