    Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for a Young Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our team!

    Pay starts between $15.00 - $17.00 based on education and experience. On-going pay raises for all employees are awarded based on meeting program standards and expectations. If you are a good fit for our program, we love to promote and help all our teaching staff grow! Career advancement is always available, and we are willing to assist.

    Benefits:

    Full-time staff members have the ability to earn up to 96 hours of PTO and 66 hours of sick pay a year. PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.

    Holiday pay will be paid based on your average hours worked and paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.

    Responsibilities:

    Help implement the lesson that the lead teacher created. (12-24 months)

    Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children

    Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem

    Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments

    Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).

    Track children's progress and report to parents (Tadpoles App)

    Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background.

    Collaborate with other educators.

    Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    Experience working in a licensed childcare facility

    45 DCF Training Hours (One year to complete all courses and exams)

    CDA preferred

    Understanding of the principles of child development

    Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

    Excellent communication and instructional skills

    Ability to act as a mediator between children

    Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

    Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
