    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The primary role of the Sales Coordinator is to ensure that company events are executed in a highly professional and legal manner. Company events include national, regional, local, charity, and trade events, as well as on and off-premise activations. Position is the primary lead responsible for the managing of company events within assigned territory to allow sales teams to concentrate on selling efforts. The role serves to field requests, source, and vet opportunities, deploy the necessary resources, coordinate communication between the event organizers, company personnel, third party agencies, and the local distributor. The role works closely with the supplier to set and monitor goals, source and deploy the necessary supplier approved materials, coordinate communication between the event organizers, supplier personnel, third party agencies, and the local distributor. The Sales Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring all brand ambassadors are fully trained, motivated, and professional in their appearance and interactions whenever representing the supplier or brand. Thorough feedback following all events and activations, including recaps of results and recommendations to maximize future events and activations, are to be completed within recommended timelines. The secondary objective for this position is to focus on sales, Sales Coordinator must attend all sales blitzes, and work with sales team through direct call and tracking of sales in key accounts on and off premise. The time split between Sales & Events will fluctuate based on current market needs.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Work closely with appropriate supplier representatives to plan event goals and monitor progress against them.
    • Communicate event details with supplier Sales Coordinator, the "Joy" team, in-market sales team, Trade Marketing team, Field Marketing Managers, on and off-premise customers and distributor management for all events and activations.
    • Ensure legal compliance for all events and activations.
    • Work with third-party agencies to select, hire, train, communicate goals and schedule the highest caliber individuals, matching their skills to the event or activation activity.
    • Work with supplier Field Marketing Managers, Sales Coordinators, and Area Managers to ensure all materials are current for P.R., social media, and point-of sale materials.
    • Estimate and arrange for on-time delivery of all -sale, signage, and product needed for each event or activation.
    • Attend events and activations to oversee execution.
    • Engage consumers and trade personnel with the company/brand story in a consistent, passionate, and professional manner.
    • Maintain and communicate an updated calendar of events.
    • Recap and communicate all activities within recommended timelines.
    • Communicate best practices and creative ideas with supplier Sales Coordinator.
    • Effectively manage and work within assigned budgets.
    • Keep abreast of and comply with all beverage alcohol federal, state, local laws, rules, policies, and regulations at all times when representing supplier or brand.
    • Position requires non-traditional hours with evening and weekend event management.
    • Be readily available for gaining distribution and menu features, providing staff education, and establishing and maintaining rapport with the top 200 (or more) on-premise key accounts within assigned territory.
    • Be readily available for gaining distribution, improving shelf location, adjacencies and for establishing and maintaining rapport with the top 150 (or more) off-premise key accounts within assigned territory.

    SKILLS:

    Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with supplier employees, vendors, third-party agencies, charitable organizations, customers, and consumers, in person, via telephone and email or other written correspondence. Computer proficiency required in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • College Degree Required
    • 3+ years experience in Sales & Events required
    • Proficiency in Sales Force Preferred
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Can lift 50+ pounds
    • Drug Test required
    • Required to work some nights & weekends (very heavy in the summer)
