About the Role
As a Youth Coordinator , you'll play an essential role in supporting our adolescent clients during their mental health journey. Acting as both a compassionate guide and a bridge between clients, families, and clinicians, you'll help maintain a therapeutic, structured, and supportive environment. You'll be part of a highly engaged team where collaboration is key, and no role is ever siloed.
This position is ideal for students pursuing mental health careers, youth mentors, substitute teachers, or passionate professionals looking to make a real difference in the lives of adolescents.
What You'll Do
- Build Trusting Relationships : Create genuine, supportive connections with adolescent clients, helping them feel seen, heard, and safe.
- Support Family Communication : Serve as a key point of contact for parents and guardians, encouraging transparency and strengthening the family-clinical partnership.
- Encourage Program Engagement : Motivate and guide clients to participate in scheduled therapy groups and activities with consistency and enthusiasm.
- Coordinate Transitions : Assist with intake and discharge processes to help families and clients feel welcomed, informed, and supported every step of the way.
- Model Positive Behavior : Supervise and guide adolescents throughout the day, using de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches when necessary.
- Lead Activities : Facilitate recreational, educational, and wellness-based activities that reinforce therapeutic goals and promote self-discovery.
- Contribute to Team Success : Work side-by-side with clinicians in shared spaces, collaborating to create an environment rooted in respect, accountability, and optimism.
- Maintain a Healing Environment : Help ensure our facility is clean, organized, and reflective of our commitment to dignity and care.
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of experience in youth counseling, behavioral health, education, or a related field.
- A passion for adolescent mental health and an understanding of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use.
- Calm, thoughtful demeanor during moments of crisis; familiarity with de-escalation techniques.
- A team-first mindset—you thrive in shared spaces and value collaboration over competition.
- Flexible and adaptable; able to shift gears as needed to meet the dynamic needs of our clients.
Schedule & Commitment
- Part-Time
- Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
