    i9 Sports Internship

    Approximate Start Dates of March 11, June 3, or Sept 3

    Have the opportunity to learn about and work with a local youth sports franchise that serves upwards of 3000 kids per season. Be involved in the business and planning side from preseason marketing to roster and schedule logistics, as well as the on field product at one of our venues in St. Louis or St. Charles County. Our goal is to provide a convenient and fun sports experience for all families by having programs that are “The Way Youth Sports Should Be.”

    Structure and Compensation:

    Internship program will span for 8 weeks and will typically average 20-25 hours per week. A total pay for the 8 week program is $2500. You will receive two payments of $1250 every 4 weeks as long as a minimum of 75 hours is worked within the 4 weeks for a minimum of 150 hours total.

    Weekly Expectations:

    75% of your hours will come from weekend time out at our fields. You must have the ability to work all or most Saturdays and Sundays during your internship.

    Assist in running an organized and efficient day at the fields or courts from setup to breakdown

    Utilize communication skills with other staff members to execute plans for the day and speak to parents, coaches, and players on the fields/courts.

    Ensure that the environment is safe and encouraging for all members

    Participate in Monday morning phone calls to go over the previous weekend and plan out the week ahead.

    Assist in inventory maintenance and field management

    Be timely and efficient in your tasks

    Complete additional communication to parents and coaches during the week

    Other Expectations (seasonal):

    Recruit for part time staff at your university.

    Complete preseason inventory at all storage units

    Guerilla marketing

    Assist in building rosters

    Golf Tournament Fundraiser Prep

    Preseason prep - jerseys, equipment organization, etc.

    Summer camp and clinic hours available during certain times of the year

    Certifications/Qualifications:

    Must be able to pass a background check.

    Have interest in youth sports or sports management.

    Have a significant sport background with knowledge of rules and expectations as well as willingness to learn other sports.
